About ISE     

The Iranian Society of Echocardiography (ISE) is the society for Iranian echocardiologist and expert cardiovascular sonographers. ISE is the largest national organization that present services to echocardiologists, nurses with expertise in cardiovascular ultrasound and cardiovascular sonographers. This society has been founded in 2007; and since then, it has been committed to improve advanced cardiovascular ultrasound in this country.

The Iranian Society of Echocardiography has been founded in April 17, 2007 as a non-profit organization in Tehran, Iran. The Society declared no political or financial affiliations to governmental organizations. This society has been directed and managed by S. Zahra Ojaghi Haghighi, MD, FACC (2007 – 2015) and Niloufar Samiei, MD, Professor of Cardiology (since 2015).

Since the beginning, the Society has attracted variety of members from all over the country. At the moment, Iranian Society of Echocardiography provides services to 180 members.

ISE Goals

  • To develop easy access to available guidelines and international educational opportunities
  • To provide the ground for research and innovations in the field of advanced cardiovascular ultrasound
  • To attract international professionals to join and collaborate with the society
  • To lead meetings and seminar/webinars in order to fulfil educational needs
